Morning
7:30 AM – Ferry from Landeyjahöfn to Heimaey
Begin your day with a scenic ferry ride from Landeyjahöfn to Heimaey, the largest island in the Westman Islands. The journey takes about 35 minutes and offers stunning views of the coastline and surrounding islands.
8:30 AM – Breakfast at Gott Restaurant

Mid-Morning
9:30 AM – Explore Eldfell volcano
Hike up Eldfell, the volcano that erupted in 1973, reshaping the island. The 45-minute hike offers panoramic views of Heimaey and the surrounding ocean. Learn about the island’s volcanic history as you walk along the lava fields.
11:00 AM – Visit Eldheimar Museum (Pompeii of the North)

12:30 PM – Lunch at Slippurinn Restaurant

2:00 PM – Puffin and wildlife boat tour
