Every hike is unique. We love to hike these three trails. Depending on the your fitness, the weather, and the wishes of your group we will pick between:
Tindfjallahringur Loop (8-12 km)
The trail passes through lush valleys, birch forests, and ridgelines with views of Eyjafjallajökull and Mýrdalsjökull glaciers. The hike takes you through the diverse, peaceful and dramatic landscapes of Þórsmörk, offering an authentic Icelandic nature experience.
Hvannárgil Canyon (6-8 km)
It starts through a narrow canyon then the trail winds along the riverbeds and climbs ridges for sweeping views of Þórsmörk’s valleys, glaciers, and birch forests. It’s an ideal hike for adventurers seeking to explore the raw beauty and tranquility of Þórsmörk’s less-traveled paths.
Hestagötur Trail (9 km)
Through birch forests, ridges, and rocky paths, offering close views of valleys and glaciers like Mýrdalsjökull. It follows old sheep paths, perfect for exploring Þórsmörk’s scenic and quiet spots.
