Efri-Úlfsstaðir a farm established in 1823, surrounded by four volcanos and placed next to one of the best salmon rivers in Iceland. Located in the heart of the South Coast of Iceland it offers some of the most breathtaking nature and history that Iceland has to offer.
The farm has two houses for accommodating our guests. The old house, built in 1921 is a studio apartment with one double bed, kitchen and bathroom – all newly renovated. This is the perfect accommodation for couples and honeymooners. The large house has four bedrooms. One bedroom has a single double room while the other bedrooms have two and three single beds. The large house has one bathroom and large kitchen and living room area.
The farm also has stables, small riding hall and sauna that we enjoy after the riding tours.
All meals are included – big breakfast, light lunch and big dinner. We emphasize on serving you Icelandic locally produced food. We can of course offer you vegetarian option (pls. book in advance for special diet requirements). Wine is not included but you are welcome to bring your own.
Riding lessons are of course included. Depending on your riding experience we have the right horse for you. (We have had national champions to complete beginners on riding on our retreats).
We supply horses and all riding equipment. Please make sure that when you are in Iceland you have to be prepared for all kinds of weather so make sure you have warm clothes, good shoes and warm gloves. We take care of the rest.
You should not be overweight for our retreats and in normal physical and mental condition.

Once you have arrived at the farm you will find out that the schedule is: there is no schedule! we ride everyday, we do meditation everyday, we tell stories every day. In Iceland we have to adjust our schedule according to the weather and that is what we do during the retreat. If that means we go and ride in the midnight sun or go swimming in the river – then that is what we will do!
How to get there:
The best way is to arrive by a car. You do not need a 4×4. Location can easily be found through google maps, just type Efri-Úlfsstadir.
